UNC Defeats TCU 15–10 in Season Opener in Dublin

DUBLIN, IRELAND — The North Carolina Tar Heels opened their 2026 football season with a statement victory, defeating the TCU Horned Frogs 15–10 Saturday at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

The Tar Heels' defense was the biggest difference in the game. North Carolina held TCU to fewer than 300 total yards, forced multiple turnovers on downs and recovered a fumble. For TCU, the loss was a disappointing start to the season. The Horned Frogs had several opportunities to score but could not capitalize in the second half. TCU quarterback Jaden Craig also lost a fumble during the game.
