it was upset week in week 13 has the college football world is on a collision course with the 12 team playoff and destiny lets get it in to it
CHAOS
several top 10 teams fell this week leading to questions and and concerns
starting off texas a&m(8-3) Alabama (9-3) Colarado,(8-3) and Byu(9-2) all got upset leading for each team to have some chaos coming in to rivalry week Alabama needs to beat Auburn and georgia to loose in the sec title game against texas to even stand a chance to get in to the college football playoff likewise with byu, Colorado, both need a shot of beating utah, and csu going in to week 14 (rivalry week)
Playoff hopes
Alabama needs a bit of help from other teams and from the college football playoff comittee
only team out side of the teams that have been mentioned that still controls their destiny is byu (9-2)
but even then if they loose to utah its in the hands of the cfp comittee to help them eek out a worthwile season
College football playoff criteria
Lets have a refresher of what the comittee looks at
- The 12 participating teams will be the five conference champions ranked highest by the CFP selection committee, plus the next seven highest-ranked teams.
- The ranking of the teams will continue to be done by a selection committee.
- The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded one through four and will receive a first-round bye. The fifth conference champion will be seeded where it was ranked or at No. 12 if it is outside the top 12 rankings. Non-conference champions ranked in the top four will be seeded beginning at No. 5. Because of this, the seeding, 1 through 12, could look different than the final rankings.
- The eight teams seeded No. 5-12 will play in a first round with the higher seeds hosting the lower seeds either on campus or at other sites designated by the higher-seeded institution (No. 12 at No. 5, No. 11 at No. 6, No. 10 at No. 7 and No. 9 at No. 8.).
