Rules of the air raid 

Just like the philosophy of the air raid its about putting speed in space and getting the ball out quckly

• in a 3 by one set (using trips right as an example)  the quarterback works from the outside in with the furthest Wr bring his first read and he progresses and if all wrs (or the te) is covered he will go to his hot route which is the running back but we will dive in to that 

HOT Routes

Now you are probably wondering what is a hot route in football?

a hot route is a route that is called at the los (line of scrimmage ) when a blitz or pressure is coming  a hot route is a short route like a slant for example look below  at the play call below

From right right to left  the wide receiver on the right will be the qbs first read  the wr (or te depending on play) will be the second read and last wr in the bunch is the 3rd read    the last 2 players in the progression  will be the Wr on the far left of the formation running the seam (remember speed in space) the running back will be the hot route to give you a more visual representation hot routes  watch the linked video
