With the sec title race finishing and the playoff race heating up it is time to speak about the game that a lot of sec fans will be watching later this afternoon a rematch that can will possibly shake up the playoff race! lets get in to it! 

Bulldogs struggles and triumphs

To start off the last time the bulldogs and the long horns met was on week 7 where Georgia  knocked off then number 1 Texas longhorns but that's not without any struggles Georgia is 4-7 in the sec title game and all 7 of those came from a nick saban led Alabama  and Texas has not allowed points in the first quarter in the last 4 games but Georgia has shown promise with being gap sound and having explosive down range playmaking ability.

over the course of the last 2 years Georgia has changed offensive coordinators from tim monken  to mike bobo.

 and some would say he is a downgrade from the explosive down range passing attack that Georgia possessed in 22 and with the lonhorns continually attacking down the field there is a question that Georgia cant go blow for blow with the horns on the biggest stage in the sec and on the flipside of it all Georgia struggles in 3rd down yardages struggling with 8 or more in the box blitzing

Conclusion

                                     With the lights shining the brightest and the longhorns ready to fight for a confrence title its fair to say that texas will stand this test and win on the biggest stange in the sec

   

acc championship breakdown (smu vs Clemson)

Its conference championship week and its important to note there are some new faces in the conference championship games for an example texas will take on Georgia (4et/3ct espn) in Atlanta and smu will take on Clemson in the acc championship but today we will focus on the acc championship  game  because it effects 2 teams in the playoff race in particular alabama (9-3)and Miami (10-2)    

Breakdown 

Currently smu is the favorite to win the acc championship game by score by a score of 30-25 and with a 63% chance to win the game outright but to know smu we need to look at their offense and explain how they got here to this faithful game 

Offense/contrast

smu is running the air raid with the power run game and if you remember reading in our past article the  about the air raid and its use and when you compare and contrast this to garret rielies offense at that shows a very balanced offense and tries to execute on big moments  but the question remains can Clemson standup to the the firepower  that the mustangs offense?

 well to answer that we need to look at Clemson's year Clemson has struggled this past year even against opponents they should beat (look at their loss against south Carolina) even with a fairly easy schedule this year this is fairly indictive of the downward trend that Clemson has been having and dabo sweeny has not used the transfer portal in the past few years or nil to prepare them for games like this 

Conclusion :

its a new year and a new conferencebut this game brings more questions then answers and we will get the answers in 12 short hours

 Alabama wins iron bowl now the debate begins

With the regular season now over the march to the playoffs now has a interesting twist and asks a question who deserves to get in lets get in to it

With Alabamas 28-14 win over the auburn tigers there were notable upsets that are worth talking about like south Carolina beating (12)clemson 14-17  and (2)ohio st loosing to Michigan  13-10 but the biggest upset of week 14 was Syracuse vs Miami a game that was very a pivotal game in the playoff race in that game kyle mchord went 26/36 and cam ward 25/36 but Syracuse came out on top 42-38 upsetting the hurricanes but now a debate begins and lest explore this question in detail 

The Debate

Alabama (9-3) 

Best wins : Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri

Miami (10-1) 

Best wins : Duke

Even though Alabama has had a  up and down year  but time and time  again past years alabama has proven themselves in the playoffs (2023 stands out with the gumption that the tide had to get in) but the tide with their 3 losses are probably the best 3 lost teams and they do have a legitimate shot for the cfp and the national title but one again lets compare 

Alabama SOS 10th

Miami SOS 14th

So come on these final 2 weeks with the playoff Rankings the question is who goes where? will both teams get in? or does one get left out? this is what is has been thought of Alabama ohio st Miami(if the loose next week in the acc championship game) and clemson will be considered to be at large teams but  where will they be seeded? bama can be anywhere from 7 to 10 where as miami will be 12 to 9

but if it comes down to these 2 teams for the 12th spot Alabama will be at 12 the stats and the gumption of  this team will keep going

Conclusion:

if these 2 teams meet in the playoffs it will be a shootout to the end  so buckle up ladies and gentlemen we have a crazy 2 weeks ahead!
