Week 1 started out hot Thursday evening with a big 12 shootout in boulder  with a shootout  tha could have caused another opening week upset so lets get in to the stats of this game

Ndsu Came out swinging to start the game with each team having quick and efficient drives that capitalized on defensive miscues on both sides and this shootout could have easily gone in to over time on some blown and missed calls for an example several missed offensive pass interference calls on colorado  along with a clear False start on Colorado but both teams played very well defensively throughout the game (see stats above) 

  

   

How does this affect the college football playoff?

With the expanded Playoffs every game matters and from what i noticed last night everyone is playing with a bit more intensity

But knowing that there is a possibility we may see these two match up again but will it be a shootout once again? that remains to be seen but we will see AT least one group of 5 team in the college football playoff later this year 

Thoughts and conclusion 

Overall Week 1  has shown that the 2024 season will be one to remember with the intensity and the chaos that is college football out of the 138 teams  in college football who will be the 12 in the playoffs? and who will be the last one standing
